The team are also due to play in the National College Cup Final at Spotland Stadium on the 10th of May after beating Pontefract-Featherstone Rovers Academy 26-18 in the semi-final. In addition to that Halifax ERA could still win the National Premier Division depending on the last two games of the season.
It is a remarkable story when you consider the Academy is only in its second year.

The Academy was started in 2015 with three main objectives;

1. Make sure players enjoy, improve and go onto the next stage in their progression whether that be in community, student or professional.

2. Ensure that students meet high academic standards that lead onto University and/or employment.

3. Improve players and progress them into the professional game.

We are proud to say we are very successfully achieving our objectives and continually growing. Next year we will run level 3 courses for 16-19 year olds and Degree courses in partnership with Loughborough Sport.

If you are serious about improving as a Rugby player and as a person then apply online by registering your interest. We have a training session with Leeds Rhinos on the 18th April that is part of the selection process.
We have applications from as far as Spain, Serbia, Scotland and Cumbria! & lots of local interest too. Due to high numbers and the standards at the Academy we have 15 places available that will be selected on attitude, communication, academic studies and Rugby ability.
