Position: Coach & Tutor
Lee became one of the youngest Head Coaches in professional Rugby League when he was appointed Head Coach at Gloucestershire All Golds in 2014.
A successful playing career saw Lee gain two England caps (2004) and make around 100 Super League appearances for Sheffield Eagles, Halifax RLFC, London Broncos and Huddersfield Giants. He also won the Northern Rail Cup twice (Leigh Centurions 2006, Batley Bulldogs 2010).
Before coaching professionally, Lee coached an under 18s team that included Scott Grix, Liam Finn and Byron Smith before taking over the 1st team in the NCL Premier. Under Lee’s leadership Siddal topped the Premier Division twice, reached the Grand Final three years in a row and won the BARLA National Cup. They also defeated Doncaster RLFC 26-0 in the Challenge Cup.
From 2010-2014, Lee was the First Team Assistant Coach at Batley Bulldogs, followed by Halifax RLFC working alongside Karl Harrison, whilst also being the Head Coach at Calderdale College. Lee led the College Rugby Team to its most successful period and oversaw their rise to becoming the best College team in the country. In 2013-14 they were undefeated, lifting the Yorkshire League, Yorkshire Cup and National Cup titles. During this period Lee became a qualified Level 3 Rugby League coach.

Position: Coach & Tutor
Gareth became the 1000th player in Super League in 2003 playing for the then Halifax Blue Sox. Other professional clubs include Huddersfield Giants and Batley Bulldogs. In 2003, Gareth was selected for the Super League U21s Representative Squad.
Gareth has years of experience coaching young players en route to the professional game, including Kruise Leeming and Tyler Dickinson (Huddersfield Giants), Ben Kavanagh (Wakefield) and Sam Barlow (Leigh).
Gareth is currently the Head Coach of Siddal ARLFC First Team in the NCL Premier Division who recently pulled off a major Challenge Cup shock by beating professional side Newcastle Thunder 30-4.
Qualifications include a degree in Youth & Community Work and Certificate in Education (Huddersfield University). Previous roles include the National Schools Manager for the Rugby Football League and over 10 years of teaching experience.

An ex-England international, Luke is joining the team in September 2016. Now on the coaching staff at Huddersfield Giants after retiring from the sport, Luke will be a welcome addition.

Kruise is currently playing in the Super League at Huddersfield Giants and adds his experience on the training field and in the classroom.
Having worked with the Academy coaching staff as a junior en route to the professional game, Kruise is happy to help out and pass on his knowledge to our players.

Position: Head of Strength & Conditioning
Elite Strength & Conditioning
Having years of experience in Super League and with Ireland, Scott opened Elite Strength & Conditioning gym in Halifax. We have benefited from having Scott design our gym programmes and be on hand to support our student athletes as they develop.
‘It has been a great first year working with Halifax Elite Academy. My job is to make sure our young athletes have access to training that suits their needs and ability and is very much the quality you would expect to see at a Super League Academy.’

Tyler is another product of the Academy coaching team and is a great addition to the team. Currently with Huddersfield Giants, Tyler has worked hard to get to where he is, making him the perfect role model for the Halifax ERA student athletes.

Position: Learner Support & Coach
Having worked with the coaches as a young player, Aiden is eager to share his experience with young players. He has since played professionally at Salford, gaining the Academy player of the year, and more recently, Halifax.
Aiden comes into the Academy on a regular weekly basis to help with class work and training.
