Great start to the new season!

Huddersfield New College 4 Halifax ERA 56 |

Halifax ERA got off to an impressive start in the National Premier Division with a comprehensive 56-4 victory at Huddersfield New College.

In very windy conditions, expansive rugby was always going to be tricky for both sides, and dealing with opposition’s kicks would be difficult. This certainly proved the case, with a number of HERA’s tries coming from favourable bounces and enthusiastic kick chases.
Archie Andrade, impressive on his first outing for HERA opened the scoring. Dakota Whylie on debut finished with a brace of scores, 1 of which was a fantastic length of the field effort, while Lewis Hosty also scored twice. Titus Gwaze, Jack Brown and Joslin Landu all crashed over from close range, while Henry Turner, Jamie Robinson and Sam Bourouh capped fined debut’s with good individual tries.
Ethan Egerton-Sharp converted 4 of the tries, with Finley Hickey and Hosty adding 1 each.
