Narrow defeat for A team

Halifax ERA 'A' team fell to a narrow defeat in their first away game of the season. Leading 10-8 with only 10 minutes remaining, Halifax conceded 2 late tries to a strong St Marys team.

Halifax took the lead midway through the 1st half when Jordan Bowers barged his way over for James McKibbin to convert. Soon after, McKibbin added a penalty to take the score to 8-0. A try just before half time for the home side gave them a foothold in the game though.

They scored again shortly after the break to level the scores, but McKibbin added 2 drop goals to put the visitors 10-8 up.

St Marys finished well though and took a well deserved 2 league points with their late tries.
